Christie's to auction S.I. Newhouse's $450M collection this spring
Christie's will sell 16 masterpieces from the private collection of S.I. Newhouse, one of the most significant collectors in history, during Spring Marquee Week in New York. The sale is estimated at $450 million and is anchored by a Jackson Pollock painting and a Constantin Brancusi sculpture. Other artists include Francis Bacon, Jasper Johns, Henri Matisse, Joan Miró, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg, and Andy Warhol.
