On May 25, 2026, Christie's Handbags & Accessories auction, part of Hong Kong Luxury Week, reached an unprecedented total of HK$59,940,190 / US$7,652,061 for the Spring season, reflecting a 17% increase from the previous year. This figure marks the highest global total for this category this season. The auction saw a remarkable 98% of lots sold, with the hammer total surpassing the low estimate by 156%, and 70% of items exceeding their high estimates. Bidders from 24 countries across four continents participated, with over 60% of sales occurring online. Notably, 41% of buyers were Millennials or younger, and the event established four new world auction records.
