Christie's and Daniel Eskenazi Unveil Details for 1935–36 Chinese Art Tribute
Christie's has shared more details about its upcoming event honoring the significant Royal Academy International Exhibition of Chinese Art from 1935 to 1936. This exhibition, created in collaboration with Daniel Eskenazi, will be hosted at Christie's Asia Pacific headquarters, The Henderson, in Hong Kong. It will be open to the public from October 22 to November 6, 2026, coinciding with Hong Kong Asian Art Week. The showcase will include nearly 15 exceptional pieces that were part of the original 1935–36 exhibition in London. Additionally, a new six-volume academic book titled "1935 The International Exhibition of Chinese Art," written by Regina Krahl and Sarah Wong and published by Daniel Eskenazi, highlights the exhibition's importance in familiarizing Western audiences with Chinese art.
