Christian Levett's ancient arms and armor collection to be auctioned in May

On Monday, May 11th, the second installment of Christian Levett's extensive collection of ancient arms and armor will go up for auction. This collection, the largest privately owned of its kind, includes artifacts from the Kingdom of Urartu through the Roman era, featuring items from Classical Greece. For more than ten years, these pieces were housed in the permanent collection of the Mougins Museum of Classical Art. Additionally, on Tuesday, May 12th, the Antiquities & Islamic Art auction will showcase the Egyptian antiquities collection of Jean-Jacques Rotthier (1932–2009), which spans from the Predynastic period to the Roman era, highlighting his enduring fascination with Egyptian civilization.
