Christelle Familiari: Body Performances at Centre National de la Photographie
Christelle Familiari, a Nantes-based artist who emerged a decade ago, will present her work in two upcoming exhibitions: at the Centre National de la Photographie in Paris from September 12 to October 13, 2003, and at the Frac pays de la Loire in Carquefou starting November 27. Critic Jean-Marc Huitorel examines her practice, which began with intuitive body-based performances that engage the public in often ambivalent situations. Recently, her work has expanded to encompass a radical worldview.
