Chris Wan Feng Appointed Head of Gallery and Exhibitions at Asia Society Hong Kong Center

On October 13, Chris Wan Feng will take on the role of head of gallery and exhibitions at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center. With more than ten years of experience in Hong Kong's art community, Wan is an independent curator and critic who focuses on the interplay of modernity and locality through his research. His recent endeavors include the "Floating World" exhibition by Tang Kwong San and Yuen Nga Chi at the Guangdong Times Museum in Guangzhou, as well as Chow Chun Fai's solo exhibition at Art Basel Hong Kong. In 2023, he curated the Hong Kong Focus section at Abu Dhabi Art, showcasing nine local galleries in the UAE. Wan also established Daoju, a nonprofit platform for Chinese-language art writing, and writes for Artforum, ArtReview, and Ocula. ASHK president S. Alice Mong commended Wan's curatorial vision and structural insight, which are expected to enhance exhibitions. He will oversee the curatorial program at ASHK's Chantal Miller Gallery, which hosts multiple exhibitions annually. Founded in 1990, ASHK is an independent NGO dedicated to promoting cross-cultural collaborations in art, business, and policy throughout Asia.
