Choices Art Week in Paris: Third Edition Closes with Palais de Tokyo Show

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The third edition of Choices – collectors week end has just closed in Paris. Organized by Marion Papillon, the event aims to strengthen the bond between viewer and artist, public and private, past and present. Galleries were central, with events spread across seven Parisian districts. A collective exhibition titled Choices, curated at the Palais de Tokyo by Laurent Le Bon and Emilie Bouvard, featured thirty-six works from as many galleries. Notably, Ellsworth Kelly's Fenêtre, exceptionally loaned by the Centre Pompidou, was displayed in its original 1949 exhibition spot on a wall between two windows of the Palais de Tokyo. The program included vernissages and conferences in the Concorde-Palais Royale, Saint-Germain, Jussieu-Bastille, Marais, Belleville, and Pantin districts—the latter being the only banlieue location, housing Thaddeus Ropac's large gallery. A roundtable titled Archives revees, memoires de peintre took place at Galerie Jean Fournier as part of the Labex Art H2H project, with artist Jean Francois Morige present. Choices supports contemporary creation and positions Paris as a contemporary art capital, organized in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
