Chips Ahoy has launched its very first mystery flavor cookie, called the Chips Ahoy Mystery Cookie, and there’s a $25,000 prize for anyone who can guess the flavor correctly. This special cookie, wrapped in caution tape to keep the flavor a secret, became available on SnackWorks' TikTok Shop starting Thursday, which is a first for the brand on that platform. A wider retail release is set for August 10. The contest is open to legal residents aged 18 and older across the U.S., D.C., and Puerto Rico, ending at 11:59 a.m. ET on October 31, when the flavor will be disclosed. Entries can be made through a QR code on the packaging or at CHIPSAHOYMystery.com, and you don’t need to guess correctly to win. Mili Laddha from Mondelēz International mentioned that this campaign is aimed at Gen Z, who enjoy snacking and gaming as social activities. This release follows other limited-edition cookies, like a Toy Story 5-themed version, available at Walmart and ShopRite. The mystery flavor idea fits into a marketing trend among brands like Doritos and Gatorade. Mondelēz International, listed on Nasdaq as MDLZ, reported about $38.5 billion in net revenues for 2025 and owns brands like Oreo and Cadbury.
