China's AI cybersecurity market to surge 37-fold by 2030 as US rivals advance

IDC projects China's AI cybersecurity industry will reach US$8.7 billion by 2030, a 37-fold increase from 2025. While US firms like Anthropic and OpenAI release new models with enhanced security features, China is aggressively scaling its own AI-driven cyber defense market. Austin Zhao, senior research manager at IDC China, noted that although China's cybersecurity models currently lag behind Anthropic's Mythos, the gap is closing rapidly as domestic capabilities increase. Growth is driven by Chinese cybersecurity vendors integrating AI into products, achieving results in security operations, data detection, and threat intelligence.
