Chiaromonte Opens Physical Space in Turin with Nancy Lupo Exhibition

Chiaromonte, an editorial platform founded in summer 2025 by Francesco Tenaglia, Matteo Milaneschi, and Achille Filipponi, will open its first physical exhibition space in Turin on October 31, 2025. The inaugural show, "Final Closet," features American sculptor Nancy Lupo, who is based in Berlin and teaches at Kunsthochschule Mainz. Lupo's work explores how emotions and collective fantasies are inscribed in materials, often reorganizing everyday objects into configurations that challenge perception. The exhibition, running until December 20, 2025, includes sculpture, video, and sound, and was conceived specifically for the Via Barbaroux 5H space. Chiaromonte aims to bridge its online editorial activity with physical exhibitions, positioning itself as an independent reference for artistic research in Italy. The platform has already published content including a conversation between visual artist Jiajia Zhang and writer Aurelia Guo, and an artist text by Dora Budor, as well as video materials inaugurated with Barbara Ess's "Crossing" (2011). The founders emphasize a focus on in-depth analysis over news coverage, viewing art as integral to broader culture.
