Chiaralice Rizzi and Alessandro Laita publish 'Live in the house and it will not fall down' with Mack

Chiaralice Rizzi (born 1982) and Alessandro Laita (born 1979), Italian artists and former assistants to Lewis Baltz and Adrian Paci, have published the photobook 'Live in the house and it will not fall down' with Mack (London, 2016, €30, ISBN 9781910164716). The book was made possible by the first annual grant from the Lewis Baltz Research Fund. It compiles photographs, objects, and ephemera found in the Venice studio of Bruno Rizzi (1933–2004), a Venetian painter, sculptor, and printer. Six years after his death, the family was forced to vacate the studio at 6381 Sestiere di Castello, prompting the organization of his archive. The 136-page volume features 105 color and 114 black-and-white plates, presenting a non-scientific, fragmented sequence that evokes memory and the geography of Venice. Rizzi and Laita, who studied at the Università di Architettura di Venezia, spent days sifting through piles of material to create this 'diary without facts.' The book is distributed by Mack.
