Chiara Dynys's 'L'ombra della luce' at Mart in Rovereto

The Mart in Trento and Rovereto is currently hosting an exhibition titled 'Chiara Dynys. L’ombra della luce', curated by Daniela Ferrari, which runs until August 27, 2023. This exhibit creatively uses different spaces within the museum, like the piazza and foyer, showcasing Dynys's engagement with the environment through pieces such as golden thresholds, illuminated books, and reflective metal letters. In the piazza, the striking 'Gold Shell' sculpture interacts beautifully with sunlight, acting as a symbolic gateway. The outdoor piece 'Memoria e Oblio' (2011) features mirrored letters that delve into memory and oblivion. Inside, the foyer displays 'Enlightening Books' made of sandblasted glass, and there are seven vibrant sculptures named 'Giuseppe’s Door' in honor of Giuseppe Panza di Biumo, celebrating his use of light since the 2000s, crafted from Murano glass.
