Chiara Camoni and Cecilia Canziani to Transform Italian Pavilion at 2026 Venice Biennale

The Italian Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale in 2026 will be titled 'Con te con tutto' and curated by Cecilia Canziani, featuring artist Chiara Camoni. The project, presented at the Ministry of Culture in Rome, envisions the pavilion as a transforming landscape divided across two sections of the Tese delle Vergini at the Arsenale. Camoni will create over twenty ceramic sculptures in a forest-like arrangement, while the second space explores horizontality and daily life. The pavilion includes a 'Dialoghi' section with performances by Annamaria Ajmone and a film by Alice Rohrwacher, plus a public program by Lungomare. The presentation was marked by tensions: Minister Alessandro Giuli reiterated government opposition to Russia's participation, and Biennale President Pietrangelo Buttafuoco criticized the press for questioning the lack of Italian artists in the main exhibition curated by Koyo Kouoh. The project emphasizes shared creativity, feminine perspectives, and accessibility, with collaborations including NERO for the catalog, the Scuola Nazionale Patrimonio Attività Culturali, Anfass, and Fondazione Amplifon.
