Château-Gontier Launches First Biennial of Performance-Lectures

The first edition of Circonférences, a biennial entirely dedicated to performance-lectures, took place from March 5-7, 2015, in Château-Gontier, Mayenne, France. Organized by Le Carré, a national stage and contemporary art center, the event featured a series of conference-performances across various venues. The initiative was deemed a success, marking a novel approach in the French art scene by focusing exclusively on the hybrid format of the performance-lecture.
