Château de Vascœuil Honors Pierre-Yves Trémois with Posthumous Exhibition
The Château de Vascœuil in Normandy is hosting a tribute to Pierre-Yves Trémois, the French artist who died five years ago. Trémois, a Grand Prix de Rome winner in 1943 and member of the Académie des beaux-arts since 1978, spent a century drawing the human body, bestiaries, and mythologies using burin, etching, and pencil. He was a friend of Dalí and Lévi-Strauss and illustrated works by Saint-John Perse, Bergson, and Anouilh. The exhibition runs until October 4, 2026.
