Weighing over nine carats, this diamond has origins tracing back to 1740 and is believed to have been mined in India. It was presented to Louis II de Bourbon-Condé by Louis XIV. After being stolen on October 11-12, 1926, it was recovered on December 18, 1926, concealed in an apple at the Hôtel Métropole.
