Chart Art Fair 2018 in Copenhagen Launches Chart Design Section

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

Chart Art Fair, the leading Nordic contemporary art fair founded in 2013 by Copenhagen galleries Susanne Ottesen, Bo Bjerggaard, V1, Andersen’s, and David Risley, runs until September 2 at Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art. This year, it introduces Chart Design, a new section exploring collectible design from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. The fair hosts 44 galleries and features thematic sections including Talks, Performance, Films, Architecture, Social, Emerging, Curio, and Design. The Chart Design exhibition, curated by the Adorno platform (founded by Kristian Snorre Andersen and Martin Clausen in 2017), presents objects from five Nordic countries across five floors. Five curators selected by Adorno—Pil Bredahle (Copenhagen Collection), Rebecca Ahlstedt (Stockholm Collection), and Kråkvik & D'Orazio (Oslo Collection)—showcase works by designers such as Nikolaj Steenfatt, Jonas Edvard, Lotta Lampa, and Pettersen & Hein. The exhibition will also be presented online, with discussions featuring Halla Helgasdóttir (Managing Director of Iceland Design Center), Hege Henriksen (Director of Norwegian Crafts), and Pernille Stockmarr (Curator at Design Museum Denmark).
