Charlie White appointed dean of Sam Fox School at Washington University

Beginning on July 1, Charlie White will take on the role of Ralph J. Nagel Dean at Washington University's Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, following Carmon Colangelo's 20-year term. White previously served as the head of the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University, where he enhanced the undergraduate curriculum and increased student engagement. His experience also includes a significant period at the University of Southern California from 2003 to 2016, managing the Master of Fine Arts program. White, an alumnus of both the School of Visual Arts and the Art Center College of Design, will lead initiatives to promote arts education in St. Louis.
