Charitable Auctions Launch to Support Chinese Schools Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

The fundraising auctions named Standing Together Through Thick and Thin aim to generate funds for hygiene supplies to support more than 100 schools in China impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. Launched by the HOW Art Museum, Yitiao, Modern Media Group, and ART021, along with over 80 international art organizations, these auctions will take place on the Yitiao platform starting 2 March. They will showcase editions and prints from artists like Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, and Francis Bacon. The Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation will oversee the distribution of funds for children's masks and disinfectants. Contemporary art sales are scheduled for 3 and 4 March. Furthermore, a collaboration between Louis Vuitton, Modern Weekly, and artist Xu Bing on Heaven Protect China was announced on 27 February 2020.
