CHANGE Festival: Rome's New Architecture Event Debuts Fall 2020
The architecture festival CHANGE is set to launch in Rome in autumn 2020, following a postponement due to the pandemic. This initiative, developed by Open City Roma, the Order of Architects of Rome, and the MAXXI Foundation, was selected through the MIBACT-DGCC call. President Davide Paterna seeks to overcome Italy's hesitance towards architecture while addressing modern challenges through digital innovation, building resilience, and sustainable resource management. Building on Open House Roma, the festival engages around forty partners, including the Municipality of Rome and Sapienza University. Its thematic focus includes urban regeneration, energy efficiency, carbon neutrality, and sustainable transportation. Events will feature virtual tours, discussion series, and a summer schedule of mini-talks every Thursday until July 29.
