Chanel Unveils Diamond Chess Set with Hidden Watches at Watches and Wonders 2026

At the 2026 Watches and Wonders event in Geneva, Chanel presented a luxury chess set where Gabrielle Chanel appears as the Queen piece. The Coco Game Capsule Collection features miniature ceramic sculptures, with the Queen figures available in black and white versions. These pieces conceal hidden clocks beneath their slingback shoes and can be worn as necklaces on white gold chains adorned with diamonds and onyx. The white Queen's tweed jacket incorporates 842 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the black version features 193 diamonds as accents. A lion serves as the King on the chessboard, which includes other exquisite pieces like the Noeud de Camélia with flower petals hiding a dial and the Mademoiselle Privé Bouton Lion combining a ring with a secret necklace. The entire collection was developed by Chanel's Watchmaking Creation Studio, showcasing their craftsmanship alongside 65 other brands at the Geneva event. The chess set transforms traditional game pieces into wearable jewelry with functional timepieces.
