CEU DOCS 2026 Showcases Student Documentary and Experimental Films at Belvedere

other · 2026-04-17

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Central European University (CEU) will present CEU DOCS 2026, an annual showcase of documentary and experimental short films created by students from various humanities and social sciences departments. The event will be held at the Blickle Kino, requiring free tickets for attendance. A slideshow featuring photographs from the CEU Visions exhibition will precede the approximately 75-minute screening. Following the films, a Q&A session with the filmmakers will be conducted entirely in English. The student projects originate from courses within the MA Visual Theory and Practice Advanced Certificate (VTP) program and the BA Culture, Politics and Society (CPS) program. These works are supported by the technical resources and expertise of the CEU Library's Media Hub. Students hailing from diverse global backgrounds use their films to express the ideas, concerns, and discourses central to their artistic and academic pursuits, offering unique perspectives on both local and international issues.
