Cesura: Collective Photography and Independence Since 2008
Cesura, a photography collective established in 2008 by six creatives including Arianna Arcara and Gabriele Micalizzi, is spearheading a new national initiative in Italy. Drawing inspiration from the Farm Security Administration and Luigi Ghirri's iconic work "Viaggio in Italia," this project aims to offer workshops to emerging photographers. The collective, known for blending photojournalism and artistry, also launched Cesura Publish to nurture diverse projects. The founders developed their skills at Alex Majoli's workshops from 2005 to 2008 and selected a studio in Pianello Val Tidone to minimize expenses and cultivate new talent.
