Cescot Veneto launches O.P.E.R.A. to empower women in the arts

During the lockdown, Cescot Veneto developed O.P.E.R.A. (Organisation & Project Management for the Empowerment and Resilience of Artists), a long-term training program funded by the European Union under POR-FSE Regione Veneto 2014/2020. The project targets women in the arts, including unemployed, inactive, and high school students, aiming to foster self-entrepreneurship and professional recognition. Coordinated by Federica Bianconi and Annalisa Arru, the team includes artists Corinne Mazzoli, Caterina Erica Shanta, Rachele D'Osualdo, Elena Mazzi, and Giada Pellicari. The initiative emerged from discussions on the need for economic-legal and fiscal education for artists. It features modules on art-based interventions, collectionism and the art market, and workshops in high schools. The project also addresses the role of artists in society, promoting mutual exchange with organizations and communities.
