other · 2026-04-22

On January 30, 2014, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London will host the tenth session of the Afterall Film Club. Cerith Wyn Evans is set to showcase a film of his choosing, which will be screened in full, followed by a discussion. Wyn Evans, known for his innovative work across various media like installation and photography, began making short experimental films in the 1980s. Since the 1990s, he has focused more on language and perception, often drawing inspiration from specific exhibition spaces. Andreas Spiegl noted in Afterall journal that Wyn Evans referred to his early films as 'sculptures' tailored for particular actions. This free film club meets six times a year and has featured prominent figures like Laura Mulvey. To join, email filmclub@afterall.org.
