Ceretto and Campari Win Premio Gavi La Buona Italia 2016
The second edition of the Premio Gavi La Buona Italia 2016 awarded the Ceretto family of Alba for their integration of contemporary art and modern architecture into their winemaking identity. The ceremony took place on May 27 at Forte di Gavi. Ceretto's projects include the Cappella del Barolo (1999) decorated by Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett, the Cubo a Bricco Rocche (2000) by architects Luca and Marina Deabate and Polar Glass, and restaurants La Piola and Piazza Duomo (2005) featuring works by Francesco Clemente. Galleria Campari in Milan received a special mention for I Musei del Vino e del Cibo, recognized as a model entrepreneurial reality for its integration of art and culture. Campari's museum, designed by Mario Botta for the company's 150th anniversary, is a dynamic space dedicated to the brand's communication history. It hosts the Campari Wall project, currently featuring German photographer Barbara Probst with a polyptych from her Exposure series until July 9.
