Centro Pecci di Prato Launches SUPERTOSCANA Artist Residency Program
The Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato has initiated SUPERTOSCANA, a residency program for artists that investigates the landscapes, production, and communities of Tuscany. Funded by Regione Toscana via the FSE+ 2021-2027 initiative, the program will choose 20 individuals, including artists and curators under the age of 36, to engage with themes of ecological sustainability and civic involvement. Building on the legacy of SUPERSTUDIO, it addresses concepts of ecology, decoloniality, and collaboration. Managed by Michele Bertolino, the program consists of two residency cycles lasting seven months each, with the first (April-November 2026) concentrating on the environment and urban landscapes, and the second (June 2026-February 2027) focusing on art, business, and local economies.
