Centro Arti Visive Pescheria Pesaro's #LaCreativitàNonSiFerma video series during lockdown
During Italy's COVID-19 lockdown, the Centro Arti Visive Pescheria Pesaro launched an online initiative called #LaCreativitàNonSiFerma to engage the community. Running from early April until May 4, 2020, the center featured a series of short videos created by artists associated with the Fondazione Pescheria. These videos included works from artists like Gabriele Arruzzo and Silvia Capuzzo, and were shared on Instagram and Facebook. Marcello Smarrelli, the artistic director, mentioned that the hashtag was inspired by a quote from Albert Einstein about creativity emerging from struggle. The center, founded in 1996 by Loreno Sguanci, reopened on May 22 with an exhibition by Gianni Politi titled "Benvenuto (anima del pittore da giovane)."
