Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles presents 'Heures sauvages' before 8-month closure
The Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles (CWB) in Paris is closing its physical space for eight months starting June 19, 2022. Before this transition, it presents 'Heures sauvages', a transdisciplinary program from June 10 to 19, described by director Stéphanie Pécourt as a climax of three seasons of digital, sonic, hybrid, and performative explorations. The program includes a collective exhibition curated by Pécourt, concerts, cinema, theater, performances, and podcasts. It features collaborations with artists and curators such as Clélia Barbut (performance archiving), Étienne Blanchot (sound carte blanche), and Pauline Hatzigeorgiou (BURN AFTER USE). The CWB has emphasized sound art since 2019, creating the festival (((INTERFERENCE_S))). During the closure, the center will continue online with podcasts for Radio fractale, visual projects, and over 40 off-site events in France. The exhibition includes works by DISNOVATION.ORG, Lucile Bertrand, Tatiana Wolska, Thomas Garnier, Tony Regazzoni, and Annemarie Maes.
