Centre Pompidou launches AI-powered chatbot for museum tours
The Centre Pompidou in Paris has introduced a free AI-powered chatbot, developed by Ask Mona, to enhance visitor experience. Accessible via photo recognition of artworks, the chatbot provides exclusive content including podcasts and videos about 113 works, and answers practical queries like opening hours and lost items. Available in French and English, with Spanish coming soon, the initiative is part of the museum's digital strategy to engage younger audiences. In Italy, similar chatbots have been adopted: Michelangelo AI by Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, created by Querlo, allows chatting with Michelangelo, while Querlo also developed Chatta col David for the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence, enabling conversations with Michelangelo's David.
