Centre Pompidou and Auxerre to Present Maritime-Themed Exhibition at Abbaye Saint-Germain in 2026

Since 2022, the City of Auxerre has partnered with the Centre Pompidou to jointly produce exhibitions featuring works from the Centre Pompidou collections, which are displayed at the Abbaye Saint-Germain – Cité de la Parole et du Son, a site rich in nearly sixteen centuries of history. This abbey showcases monastic structures with various architectural styles and is home to the art and historical collections of the Musée Saint-Germain. Following the Les Grands Récits festival, scheduled for June 5–7 and focused on the sea, the Centre Pompidou will unveil an exhibition titled "The Sea" from June 20 to November 1, 2026, designed to interact with the abbey's architecture and collections.
