Centrale Fies Summer 2023: Performative Arts in a Former Power Plant

Centrale Fies, located in Trentino, Italy, has evolved from hosting the Drodesera festival to offering summer programs focused on innovative artistic exploration. Kicking off Summer 2023 on June 29, 'The Naked Word' will run until July 31, under the curation of Barbara Boninsegna and Simone Frangi. This exhibition includes artists such as Marco Giordano, Jota Mombaça, Tarek Lakhrissi, Florin Flueras, and Alina Popa, alongside performances by Live Works Fellows and Guest Artists. Discussions and poetry sessions will feature Sinthujan Varatharajah, Francesca De Rosa, and Lola Olufemi. The AGITU IDEO GUDETA fellowship will support Soukaina Abrour. From July 14-16, apap FEMINIST FUTURES, curated by Boninsegna and Filippo Andreatta, will focus on intersectional feminism. The summer wraps up with 'Enduring Love' from September 21-23, showcasing various artists.
