Central Texas Museums Unveil Summer 2026 Exhibition Lineup

On May 2, the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin is set to debut 'Art in Every Corner: The Works Progress Administration (1935-1943).' This exhibition will highlight works from famous artists like Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Wood, and Dorothea Lange, curated by Sarah Bane. There’s a special event for Mother’s Day on May 10 featuring a talk by John P. Murphy, and the exhibit will run until September 27. Meanwhile, Women & Their Work will present 'MARK' from May 16 to July 1, showcasing 25 Texas women artists. The McNay Art Museum in San Antonio will open 'Garden Party: Nature on Paper' from May 7 to August 9. The San Antonio Museum of Art will feature 'Microhistories of the Andes' from May 24, 2026, to May 23, 2027, and 'Renoir to Picasso' from June 12, 2026, to June 10, 2029. The Contemporary at Blue Star plans to launch five exhibitions on June 27, and the Georgetown Art Center will have three shows from May 29 to September 6.
