Central Saint Martins Graduates Install Public Art at Wembley Park
Two Central Saint Martins Fine Art graduates, Henry Gibbs and Bhawana Jain, have created large-scale public artworks for Wembley Park, London, installed on an eight-metre-wide wall at London Designer Outlet (LDO). The commission, titled 'Invisible Figures', opens on 24th August 2026 and explores themes of men's mental health and women's freedom. Gibbs's work, 'Becoming', responds to the charity Talk Club and examines suppressed emotion and masculinity, using found imagery, physical objects, and digital processes. Jain's 'Fictioning Freedom', created in response to Solace Women's Aid, depicts women in a landscape with 200 metres of red fabric, captured by drone in Ramanagara, Karnataka, India. The works are installed on Level 1 of LDO between Superdry and Calvin Klein, aiming to integrate contemporary art into everyday spaces. Michelle D'Vaz-Plant, Head of Marketing at LDO, emphasized the project's role in fostering culture and connection. The commission began with the question, 'What does someone carry that isn't visible?' and is part of LDO's partnerships with Talk Club and Solace Women's Aid.
