Cecilie Bahnsen and Uniqlo Launch 'Shapes of Poetry' Spring/Summer 2026 Collection

other · 2026-04-21

On May 21, 2026, Uniqlo, the Japanese retailer, will unveil the 'Shapes of Poetry' collection in collaboration with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen, designed for spring and summer. This partnership was initiated when Bahnsen encountered Uniqlo's R&D leader, Yukihiro Katsuta, during a store opening in Copenhagen. The collection comprises eight styles for women and five for girls, featuring tops, skirts, skorts, and dresses crafted from jersey fabric, embodying a 'softer romanticism.' The designs showcase a color scheme of red and pink, complemented by gray, black, and white, incorporating ruffles, floral motifs, and smocking. Two silhouette options are offered: voluminous and frilled, as well as smocked and fitted. The campaign was shot in Japan by sisters Louise and Maria Thornfeldt and will be available worldwide at Uniqlo locations.
