Four years after Cecilia Gimenez's infamous restoration of a 19th-century fresco by Elías García Martínez in the Santuario de Misericordia in Borja, Spain, the story continues to dominate online and traditional media. The maligned Ecce Homo has become a viral sensation and a business. A 22-minute documentary titled 'Fresco fiasco', produced and co-starring Spanish actress Assumpta Serna, will premiere on July 7 at the Santuario de Misericordia in Borja, in English with Spanish subtitles. In August, an American play 'Behold the man (Ecce Homo)' will debut in Borja.
