Cecilia Alemani curates Frieze Projects 2017 with bunker, cinema, and performance

Cecilia Alemani, the Milanese curator, presents the 2017 edition of Frieze Projects, a curated section of the Frieze art fair. The program includes Elaine Cameron-Weir's bunker installed outside the fair tent, a cinema by Jon Rafman, a performance by Dora Budor featuring three actors dressed as Leonardo DiCaprio characters, and Teatro delle Mostre, a homage to Galleria la Tartaruga in Rome. The original 1968 Teatro delle Mostre featured daily-changing exhibitions, a pivotal moment for artists who later became major figures. Participants include Giosetta Fioroni (visible only through a peephole in the final part of the video), Fabio Mauri, Ryan McNamara, and Adam Pendleton. Alemani also curated the Italian Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale, balancing both commitments.
