cc-tapis presents 'To Earth: A declaration of love' in Milan

For two days only, until November 16, 2017, cc-tapis presents the third photographic (or meta-photographic) project by This Is Me Not Being You at its showroom in Piazza Santo Stefano 10, Milan. Curated by Micaela Flenda and produced by the Candy Box, the exhibition 'To Earth: A declaration of love' features five visual artists little known in Italy: Dudi Hasson, Synchrodogs, Sophie Bogdan, Can Dagarslani, and Anne Barlinckhoff. Their photographs explore the indissoluble, dystopian love bond between humans and nature, accompanying a structured installation with a personal message of love for the planet. Anne Barlinckhoff portrays nymph-guides inviting viewers to gaze toward a sweet and welcoming nature. Synchrodogs captures the female body, almost androidized in a dreamlike imaginary where women camouflage and transfigure until they almost decompose. Sophie Bogdan and Can Dagarslani analyze the earth as an invasive but rich and generous mother, where animals, trees, water, rocks, women, and men participate in life on earth as a single Spirit. Dudi Hasson seizes nature optically and visually as a lightning strike, using a very personal use of light to capture intimate and ephemeral moments of the human-nature relationship: the candor of forms, the contradictory bond between humans and animals that should live wild in the woods instead of in chains, the encounter between imperfect bodies and the dampness of tall grass, the freshness of a bath on a late summer day.
