Catherine Millet Wins Inaugural Prix François Morellet

Catherine Millet has been awarded the first Prix François Morellet for her lifetime achievement in art criticism. The prize was presented during the Salon du livre et du vin de Saumur on April 9–10, 2016. The trophy, designed by Pascal Morabito, was handed over by Laurent Hamon (deputy of Maine-et-Loire), regional president Mme Catin, and collector Philippe Méaille. Two days earlier, Méaille inaugurated the Château de Montsoreau, a restored castle near Saumur now dedicated to contemporary art, housing a major collection of works by Art & Language.
