Catherine Castillon appointed new CEO of art publisher Skira
Catherine Castillon, a manager of Franco-Italian descent in her early thirties, has taken on the role of CEO at Skira, following Massimo Vitta Zelman, who continues as chairman. Prior to this, Castillon served as a Senior Advisor at Museum Studio and holds a majority stake in Skira. She graduated from HEC Paris and accumulated a decade of experience in strategic marketing with L'Oréal, Procter & Gamble, and LVMH. In 2012, she co-founded Etoile Rouge Italie and later established theC.Studio in 2021. Founded in 1928 by Alberto Schira, Skira gained fame through partnerships with artists like Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Castillon plans to focus on enhancing international growth and cultural retail within museum boutiques.
