Catalejo House by Tololo Ugarte Rises from a 300-Year-Old Oasis

Catalejo, a residential project by Chilean architect Tololo Ugarte, completed in 2024, is defined by its context: a pasture with four trees over 300 years old. The 80 m² house sits on fertile land that transforms seasonally—desert-like in summer, lush with weeds in winter and spring, making the structure appear to float amid shifting vegetation.
