Castello Sforzesco launches glass competition for under-35 artists and designers
In a partnership with collector Sandro Pezzoli and with backing from Enrico Bersellini, Silvia Levenson, Aristide Najean, Matteo Seguso, and Marina and Susanna Sent, Milan's Castello Sforzesco has initiated a competition aimed at designers and glass artists aged 35 and younger. The selected winning piece will be added to the castle's glass collection, which dates back to the late 19th century. Artists who were under 35 as of September 10, 2017, may submit up to three works using any glass technique. A jury of seven members will choose the finalists, whose works will be displayed at Castello Sforzesco as they vie for three awards. The deadline for applications is January 28; further information can be found at www.competition-35.com.
