Castel Belasi in Val di Non becomes contemporary art center with three ecological exhibitions
Castel Belasi, a historic fortress located in Val di Non, Trentino, has transformed into a Center for Contemporary Art dedicated to Ecological Thought, presenting three exhibitions aimed at raising ecological awareness. Curated by Stefano Cagol, "Come ghiaccio" features the works of 14 international artists, including AES+F's 4K video "Last Riot" and Laura Pugno's plaster casts representing melting snow. This exhibition, created in collaboration with MUSE and the Municipality of Campodenno, aligns with the International Year of Glacier Conservation. Additionally, "Raccolti e Racconti" showcases 73 watercolors by Italian artists depicting endangered plant species. The Project Room "Dall'antropocene al Biocene" displays works from nine artists who participated in a MUSE masterclass. The castle also includes a granary and a private chapel.
