Casa Wabi and ArtReview Name 2026–27 Residency Prize Winners

The Casa Wabi x ArtReview residency prize winners for 2026–27 have been revealed. Chosen from a pool of over 900 global submissions, the awardees include Danish artists Maja Malou Lyse (b.1993) and Esben Weile Kjær (b.1992), Taiwanese sound artist Li TzuMei (b.1982), and Brazilian creator Fernanda Galvão (b.1994). They will reside at Casa Wabi, an artist residency and community arts hub established by Bosco Sodi in 2014 in Oaxaca, Mexico. Lyse and Kjær focus on public art that transforms communal spaces, while Lyse examines body-image relationships and Kjær tackles themes of identity and community. Li TzuMei's work centers on feminist listening through sound, and Galvão explores the fusion of landscape and anatomy in her multimedia creations.
