Casa Tear: A Spatial Mesh in Bragança Paulista by Felipe Caboclo
Casa Tear, designed by Felipe Caboclo Arquitetura in collaboration with interior designer Nildo José and landscape architect Alex Hanazaki, is a 1200 m² residential project completed in 2024 in Bragança Paulista, Brazil. The house is conceived as a spatial mesh where structural elements, curated interiors, and nature intertwine like threads. Rather than imposing a heavy volume on the site, the design explores tension—connecting bare earth with lush tropical gardens, structural weight with interior lightness, and human scale with the vast Brazilian horizon. The project team includes coordinator Bianca Monti, technical specialist Oswaldo Pessano, and project team members Amana Roveri and Marina Rebelo. Engineering and consulting were provided by MPH Engenharia, Benedictis, Projesteel, Zamaro, and Iluxxx Tecnologia, with lighting by Lightworks. Photography is by Estudio NY18.
