Casa Sodzil by Esencial Studio Preserves Yucatán Henequen Heritage

Casa Sodzil, a residential project spanning 435 m² in Hacienda Sodzil Norte, Yucatán, has been finalized by Esencial Studio. The design, crafted by Sebastián Montalvo Millet and Esteban Hernandez Martín, was curated by Valentina Díaz. This project thoughtfully incorporates historical and environmental aspects, ensuring the preservation of endemic vegetation, mature trees, and ancient stone walls. The technical team features Miquel Gibert Ramos, with support from Prefabricats Pujol, Construccions Canyellas, Electrocreixell, EGC Consulting, IMG Reformas integrales, Carreté Finestres, and Kit Mi Piscina. Suppliers include Ikea, Lufe, and Sklum. Documented by photographer Lluís Bort, Casa Sodzil, categorized as 'Casas' (houses), showcases sustainable contemporary architecture and is set to be completed in 2025.
