Casa Roberto Marinho Presents Foreign Artists from Its Collection Until October
Until October 27, Casa Roberto Marinho, located in the Cosme Velho area of Rio de Janeiro, is hosting the exhibition "Estrangeiros na Coleção Roberto Marinho," curated by Lauro Cavalcanti. This showcase includes around 150 pieces from the extensive collection of the late Roberto Marinho, a businessman and journalist who passed away in 2003. Featured works encompass paintings, sculptures, watercolors, lithographs, serigraphs, and tapestries by notable artists like Jean-Baptiste Debret, Marc Chagall, and Salvador Dalí. It also highlights foreign artists who made Brazil their home, such as Lasar Segall and Tomie Ohtake. Concurrently, "Djanira: A Memória de seu Povo," a collaboration with MASP, runs from June 19 to October 27, focusing on modernist Djanira da Motta e Silva.
