Casa Pisçude: A Home Built Around a Natural Pond in Brazil's Vale dos Vinhedos

In Garibaldi, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the architectural firms Revvero Arq and Mariana Bet Arquitetura have designed Casa Pisçude, a 300-square-meter residential project completed in 2026. The house is located in the Vale dos Vinhedos region and derives its name from a unique feature of the plot: it is the only lot in the condominium with a natural pond, left by the previous owner. Before the house was built, the clients transformed the pond into a swimming pool, used during summers with family and friends. The playful name 'Pisçude' is a portmanteau of the Portuguese words 'piscina' (pool) and 'açude' (pond), reflecting the hybrid nature of the water feature. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira, with photography by Yuri Panichi. The design team includes Caique Copat and Mariana Bet, with Revvero Arq + Obra serving as lead architects and general contractor. Landscaping was handled by Madre Tierra Paisagismo, and the pool was engineered by HPool Piscinas. The house is categorized as residential architecture, specifically a single-family home.
