Casa Piná in Florianópolis by Nommo Arquitetos
Nommo Arquitetos has completed Casa Piná, a 437 m² residential project in Santo Antonio de Lisboa, Florianópolis, Brazil, in 2025. The house is named after the juçara palm tree (Piná) that grows on the site, planted by the mother of one of the residents, which serves as both an emotional and structural presence. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira, with interior design by Sarah Abrahão and Francielle Dalsasso, and landscaping by Raquel Melilo. The design team includes Anderson Luís de Almeida, Elaine Moreira, and Giulia Gomes Viana, who also served as lead architects. Photography is by João Vitor Sarturi. The architecture emphasizes the relationship between the inhabitants and the pre-existing landscape, treating the local flora as a living memory.
