Casa Museo Luigi Pirandello opens in Agrigento with immersive tech

cultural-heritage · 2026-04-27

In Agrigento, Sicily, the Casa Museo Luigi Pirandello has been inaugurated at the writer's birthplace in contrada Caos. This renovation, initiated by Regione Siciliana, offers a multimedia experience crafted by Gruppo ETT. Actor Leo Gullotta narrates the museum, which consists of seven thematic rooms that delve into Pirandello's family background and creative work, particularly in theater and film. Noteworthy features include immersive projections, a digital vocabulary area, and motifs of masks. Visitors can access digital notebooks, and ETT has created a smartphone application for both in-museum and remote content access. The project was scientifically coordinated by professor Sarah Zappulla Muscarà and lawyer Enzo Zappulla, under the oversight of the Soprintendenza dei Beni culturali di Agrigento.
